Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Learning Sites has been in business since 1996 and is the world's oldest and most experienced virtual heritage company.
What is your primary product or service?
We create accurate and precise visualizations of the ancient world's sites, buildings, and artifacts for museum display, interactive research, teaching, publication, broadcast, and tourism. We offer virtual reality re-creations, animations, high-resolution renderings and other innovative imagery to gain new insight into the past and generate digital surrogates for long-term preservation and documentation.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Donald Sanders, president of Learning Sites is an architect and an archaeologist. Many years of teaching showed him that students learn best if engaged and excited about the material being taught. So much more comes alive and becomes meaningful for them through the use of interactive digital media.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Learning Sites visualizations are the most accurate, precise, and detailed that the evidence permits. We have the largest digital library of virtual ancient worlds, an experienced staff, and can attack any problem from the point of view of the professional archaeologist and the product-tested programmer or graphic designer.
